LOTUS 10.6
The Lotus 10.6 was designed by Alan Wright, one of New Zealand's most prolific designers. It is very highly regarded for its sailing qualities and interior space. With a roomy open plan layout of double berths forward and aft the yacht is best suited for one or two couples or a family. Different Drummer has wheel steering, an in-boom furling mainsail, and an electric halyard winch making two-handed sailing easy. A superior sea boat to the smaller Beneteau's, the Lotus is ideal for exploring the coast beyond the Bay of Islands. Different Drummer has proven herself offshore: the owners take her on winter cruises to the Pacific Islands.
Launched in 1988, Different Drummer is one of the oldest boats we have but don't let this affect your choice. Like all our boats the Lotus is very well maintained and in condition she is little different to the newer boats in our fleet and better spec'd than most of them.
